We accept both unagented and agented submissions. We prefer new work and will not consider previously published work.

We're interested in manuscripts that are well-written for fiction and nonfiction genres (See "Get Published").

We are especially interested in Women's Fiction, Historical Fiction, and Legal Thrillers. We are not considering short stories/novellas, poetry, children’s picture books, cookbooks, or memoirs at this time.

Unlike Self-Publishers, we don't accept every book for publication. We vet every manuscript, looking for stories that are well-written and marketable.

Most hybrid publishers pay royalties up to 40%. At L.B. Publishing Books, we pay beyond industry standards. 50% is what our authors earn on net sales of their books.​

*Net Sales = print costs - distribution costs - retailer costs. Typically, net sales on a $14.99 paperback are about $4.00, give or take the word count for the book (based on 50-60K).
